Hats off to our own Jared Tlatoa of the Miracle League Padres, who has just received a very special award! Jared, a student at Centennial High School was recently recognized by Steven Horsford, the U.S. Representative for Nevada’s 4th Congressional District, for his submission in the 2021 Congressional Art Competition. Jared received an Honorable Mention for his piece entitled “Help me… I’m endangered”, and was presented with a Certificate of Special Congressional Recognition at the Awards Ceremony on July 6, 2021.
Jared is a multi-sport athlete who is not only entering his 15th baseball season this fall with Miracle League, but also stars on the Miracle League soccer pitch with the Switchbacks team. Jared is also a decorated swimmer who most recently won won (2) Swimming Gold medals and (1) Silver medal in the May 2019 Special Olympics Regionals!
