• The 2024 Summer Soccer season will consist of (5) games for each team, on the following Saturdays:
  • June 8^th, June 15^th, June 22nd and June 29^th
  • July 6th
• Team assignments will be released on Friday, May 17th.
• Games are played indoors on the Portugal Sports Academy synthetic turf field.  The field is smaller and works best with a 4-on-4 matchup.  Teams are (6-7) players each, to accommodate substitutions and no-shows.
• Teams will be organized into (3) age categories: 3-6 yrs. old, 7-13 yrs. old, 14 yrs. old and up.  We will move players up or down based on abilities as well (with parental consent), so that players will play against others of roughly the same age and/or ability.
• Games will begin on the hour, starting at 9AM and continuing until the last game at 1PM each game day.  Please arrive at the Portugal Sports Academy field 15 minutes prior to the start of your game.  The schedule for each team (12 teams in all) will be the same each week, and is posted below.

REMEMBER!  Your team will play at the same time every Saturday!

• Registered Players will receive a soccer jersey, socks, and shorts in team colors.

• When do players get their Team Uniforms (Jersey, Shorts, & Socks)?   Pick them up at Portugal Sports Academy (MAP & DIRECTIONS below) on Thursday, June 6th, 4-6PM
• ALL PLAYERS MUST WEAR SHIN GUARDS and are responsible for purchasing their own. Shin Guards are available at Walmart or Target in various sizes.
• REQUIRED SHOES: Tennis Shoes  (Please, NO SOCCER CLEATS!)

We have (2) wheelchair adapters for soccer!

About Portugal Sports Academy

Founder Julian Portugal serves as Director of Sports Performance and Development.  He played college soccer at the University of Las Vegas and went on to play professionally with the Tulsa Roughnecks & the Las Vegas Lights FC.  As one of the owners of Portugal Sports Academy, Julian’s vision since day one training kids at a park/in his garage was to put Las Vegas soccer players on the map. Not only that, but his vision includes establishing the highest standard of soccer training coupled with teaching life lessons through soccer. He wants to continue to inspire and push kids to their full potential, while raising the standard of the beautiful game in Las Vegas.

Julian is a certified personal trainer, certified in strength & conditioning, and he and his staff provide top service to anyone that walks through the doors. He has also buddied for us at Miracle League on numerous occasions!

How to get to Portugal Sports Academy

Take the 215 to S. Buffalo Drive.  Head NORTH on Buffalo to W. Sunset Rd.  Turn right (east) on Sunset, to S. Tenaya Way.  Turn left (north) on Tenaya Way, to W. Post Rd.  Turn right (east) on W. Post Rd.  Turn right (south) on Montessouri Street off Post Rd.; then take the 2nd left into the driveway and drive past a couple of the buildings to get to the front entrance of Portugal Sports Academy (see map, below).
